Pushchairs

Double stroller advice please!

I have DS1 aged 26mo and ds2 aged 7mo.

I currently have the BJCS which I love except it is very heavy.

Are all double pushchairs heavy, or should I change to something lighter? Would a side-by-side (like the BJCMD) be easier?

TIA :)

What about a single with a buggyboard?

I should mention. DS1 is very lazy and I don't see him walking outside any time soon so I'd want a pushchair with large seats.

I was a bit rude calling him "lazy". We are waiting for his referral date to have him assessed to see if he is autistic.

I love my BJCM double for my 29 month old and 13 month old. The seats are very roomy, my 12 and 8 year old sat in it in the park when all the benches were taken!

Not all tandems are heavy! The BJCS is one of the heaviest as time goes on - it starts out ok when your DCs are little but slowly gets heavier. Everyone loves it at first but then one day....the day comes...when you have to admit defeat (or are lucky and live somewhere super flat or have incredibly strong arms or lightweight children!)

A side by side will certainly be lighter especially a BJCMD or even better the BJCMGTD. I would look first though at an Oyster Max. Its considerably lighter to push and has big seats (push the hood right up the frame). The Nipper, TFK Twinner Twist Duo, Easywalker Duo and Donkey are all worth a look (depending on budget!)

I'd say don't go for the Nipper. My girls hate theirs and have grown out of it at 18 months.

My 4 year old was still riding in ours until we sold it and she loved it.

I think I will have to admit defeat soon :(

I went for Britax B-Agile Twin Stroller - Black and Chrome

As it was bought in Mothercare, I joined the "baby and me" club and instantly received vouchers for £20 off :)

Thank you for all your help again :)

we have the peach blossom 2 which is fantastic for my 6 months old and 18 month old, they love, it's comfy and so easy to use, especially for someone like me who probably wouldn't even be able to change a fuse lol. but it all depends on what sort of budget you have x
