BJCM Gt, versa or versa gt!

Thanks for the info GoombayDanceBand, think it's just the harder wheels versus gt wheels and all round suspension versus only front suspension. At this rate I'll never make a decision.

also the GT will pull down on a camber. Not sure if the versa does this - weight difference is minimal though I think. That's the only time you need both hands for it but with a toddler/larger child you might need two hands to get up kerbs.

btw to answer the q about the wheels, we don't get anything stuck in the GT wheels - they feel and look rubbery, with the little spikes you get on new tyres. I think they may also make the whole thing very slightly narrower? Not sure on that.

I have the BJCM, it's lovely and very very long in the seat so my 4mo can stretch out in it, with room to spare - but in an older child yes you would have less leg support.
Also I don't like not being able to look at him, so we use it as an in-car buggy and take it out to go round shops etc.

Also have the versa GT and I find the wheels/tyres superb - much more intuitive than the hard wheels, though on the mini I don't mind them as it's only really used in shops and so on.

It is heavy - to carry and to push - but you can fold and lift it one handed, with a baby in the other arm, if necessary.

They are very different types of pushchair. The versa is HUGE and the mini is lower and light.

I love to use both but could not choose between them as neither would be suitable for everything we do. Be aware that the fabrics on the versa are very different if you liked the shiny ones on the BJCM - they are chunkier and not so smooth. I also don't like the hood on the versa, it isn't positive enough when it sits in place, I like something that clicks iykwim.
And it's far smaller than the one on the BJCM.

I think Kooltrade need to get more versas out to the provinces, so people can try them out. This is a huge issue afaic.

The twins have calf support (we improvised with back supports sewn into footmuffs lol) they work a treat smile They're also small for their age so blankets help too.

We didn't want to sell buggy so we improvised lol.

Thanks for the replies.

Tiggywunkle, what are the tyres like on the normal versa as I read one review saying they dented quickly after first use. This is exactly what has happened with the oyster. Does it affect the pushchairs performance? And how bouncy is the suspension, is it easy to get up kerbs and how does it handle on rougher ground?

Sorry for all the questions but there isn't a shop near me that sells the versa so can't have a look myself.

Thanks again

Its not that the Versa GT isnt as good as the Versa - more that the Versa is excellent and the GT version gives you an additional choice. Yes there is no rear suspension on the Versa GT, but I dont think it needs it either. The Versa GT is heavier than the Versa to push but, if you prefer the Versa GT you wont care less! Both are fab pushchairs.

I have to say, for a 7 month old, I would definitely want leg support. I like my BJCMGT for ease of use, but for a younger child, leg support when sleeping really is important to me. I also like parent facing although I dont see it as essential. But with such a small baby, if both pushchairs are an option, then I would absolutely go for the Versa / Versa GT.

Oh the seats are bigger than the mini, twins have space and fall asleep easily in full recline. I love mine and it's used everyday. However I am biased.

My 7mo twins face forward in the BJCM GT double. A first they were a little fussy but suddenly found their surroundings more interesting.

Hey all,

I seriously need help deciding on a new pushchair. And I think I have whittled it down to those 3 but can't decide on one. I have only seen the bjcm GT in person, but have been reading about the others. So thought this would be the place to ask for opinions.

I already have an oyster which I hate. My little girl is 7 months and we cant use the pram bit as she is so uncomfortable, the suspension is rubbish and I can't get it up and down kerbs.

My husband like the bjcm GT but I'm worried about her facing forwards for the first time (maybe that's just a selfish issue on my part) but I like seeing her and also concerned about the drop part for her legs. In the versa you can raise this part for support. But I have been reading about the suspension and weight on the versa GT isn't as good as the original versa. Any thoughts? Also the wheels on the versa are hard like my oyster and have so many stones stuck in them, has this been an issue for you?

So the questions are, should I be worried about facing forwards? Which is the best for comfort, ease of use etc? I would like this to last a while too, so really need to make right choice. Just want to know which is best as I'm driving myself insane lol.

Or is there another buggy you would recommend?

Thanks for any help :-)
