I've uploaded a pic to my profile of an iCandy for sale near me. The seller says its an Apple to Pear but the pics of this on best buggy show it as a 4 wheeler and this looks like its a 3 wheeler which chunkier tyres....

I think I love it...

Ha, that would be a normal apple jogger that someone has put a pear converter kit on... ICandy would have a fit if they saw this! The double wheel kit you get with the pear converter kit is for stability. It's definitely not an apple 2 pear, they aren't out yet.

Oh, so its not a good idea then?

How much does a pear kit go for? And the apple jogger underneath? They want £200 for the whole thing...

Humm not sure, I kinda had it in my mind that the apple jogger made decent money but you'd have to check, I might be waaaay off base there.

Seems kinda cheap dependant on how used it is...

Agree, a pear conversion on an Apple jogger and they would have a fit :o. You might be able to pick up the Pear wheels on ebay or some such though. Don't risk it with the jogger or even standard Apple stroller wheels.

I sold my 5 year old Apple stroller for £250 in Feb...

That front wheel looks much too small to be the jogger front wheel. Are you sure it isn't just a really poor photo with the conversion done properly? It might be worth asking for another picture.

The front wheel conversion piece needed to turn the Apple jogger into the Pear is free when you buy the upgrade kit, so it would be silly if they hadn't done it.

She's confirmed its a 3 wheeler that's about 3 yrs old and she bought second hand. So the extra wheels have gone missing somewhere. But I can buy them on eBay for £25...

So that's 225 all in. Worth it?

By coincidence I saw one today. And it wasn't love Sad it looked a bit clunky, and I realised I'd have to buy new wheels and a hub, and also a carry cot to make it usable or an attractive package to sell on...

Daisy, honestly you dont want a Pear. There are reasons that the Pear has had an overhaul and the new Apple2Pear really is much better! You can get air tyres to fit it too!
