Yes, I've been here before trying to produce dc2 but so far have just had 2 mcs. Anyway, I'm pg again, and it hasn't gone pear shaped yet so I'm indulging in some pram-porn.

I'd always thought that I'd stick with being baby jogger central and get a double bjcm to go with the single bjcm and the summit. And then get a carrycot to fit all three.

But Tiggy has tempted me with the micralite twofold which looks gorgeous, although may not be up to the extreme off-roading I need.

I also go out a lot with my best mate and if this works out for both of us we will have a 2.9yo, 2.2yo, 2mo and a newborn...

So, tempt me with things! (or tell me to be sensible and just to buy a second hand dbjcm and carrycot!

Which one is up to you, but there is the Sport Utility Duallie and the Revolution SE Duallie. The former is the tough off road version.


Or look at a BJC Elite double - lovely and bouncy - but it would be an Ebay job! Or look at the Bumbleride Indie Twin - fab! Or the TFK Twinner Twist Duo.

Yes, the city mini wouldn't be up to the off-roading that's required here. I wondered about the elite double - would that take a carrycot?

The width worries me though - once I've gone along the really rough path, I have to walk along an a-road. It's got a pavement but all the cars park with one wheel up to stop them getting hit so it's very narrow... I'm not entirely sure I can get a side by side down there. Although I can fit the summit which could take a jump seat...

I would love a Bob Tiggy. DP wants an ironman as he thinks they sound macho...

I can't answer that Daisy....I have a BOB CE here at present, but dont know enough yet to comment. But I know you do some serious offroading - more than most people do, and although I love the Indie Twin, I think for what you do, I would steer you towards the BOB. There is adjustable suspension which you would love too!

The Summit jump seat isnt approved for use in the UK.

Believe me, if you are walking down the street with a bright orange BOB, everyone will see you coming! I will make you a flag like they have on bike trailers!

The other options down the tandem route is the Mountain Buggy +One or a TFK Joggster Twist with Buddy Seat and Multi X carrycot, BUT you need to read about the limitations of both.

The bobs do look great (and yes please for a flag!)

I remember being taken with the mountain buggy when it came out, but I don't think our gap will be big enough. Dd is 18 months now, but naps in the buggy at both the cm and nursery so I think she's fairly conditioned to it and I won't be able to guarantee she's stopped by age 2.

I like the tfk and particularly that the seat pops in the basket when it's not being used, but it won't recline, will it? But then neither will the micralite and I'm completely in love with that...

No, the TFK seat wont recline.

Maybe you need two pushchairs - one for the young toddler / newborn phase and one later on for the 6 month + baby and older toddler who doesn't nap!
