Struggling: P&T double kit help me not hate this pesky pram pls!!!!

We have a phil & ted explorer. Dd1 is 2. Dd2 is 7wks. I presently hate this pram. With two it feels unstable, like its about tip over. We have dd2 below in the carry cot and the kit on top with dd1 in. She's at some strange nearly horizontal angle looking like she's clinging on for grim death. I can't keep blankets on her as they slide off as she's at this odd angle there's nowhere to tuck them. To look forwards she has to strain or just stare at the sky.

Dd2 has her head stuck out and there's no cover so her face is freezing. The carry cot doesn't seem to fit properly? She looks like she's angled down a bit. And squeezing a blanket in too is hard. She's only 12lb!!! And 7wks!!!

I can't then hang the nappy bag on the back as ill brain dd2. The bag with the pram is not great.

Why don't the handles extend? I'm hunching over to push this thing. They only tip up or down?

We did try it but plainly wandering round a shop gave no experience. I'm hating it and its so expensive I need to like it! Do we just give up and buy a mclaren? Anyone else had issues with this bloody machine?

Pls help me!!! Argh!!!! Or offer me £ to have it ;)

I had a p&t sport with no issues.

Mess about with the carrycot to get it right - I found it had to be much further back than I thought. It came with a plastic cover for across the back, perhaps you could get one on eBay if yours isn't there?

I got pannier bags which strap on the sides to carry changing stuff and shopping as there was very little storage space otherwise.

But I think if it is annoying you that much you should get another pram, there is nothing worse than using something you hate every day!

This might be a stupid question, but with your DD's seat on top... You are using the little connecting corner bits, aren't you? Not slotting the seat straight on to the pram?

Actually, you must be using them. Now I've got my head screwed on, otherwise she would be face down on the pavement Grin

I'm sorry you don't like it. I absolutely love ours and couldn't imagine life with 2 without it.

TBH this is what I hear a lot. Plus, the next issue will be when you want to put the baby in the doubles kit and there's no recline on the seat??? Honestly, quit now and buy an Oyster Max or a Britax B-Dual or depending on your budget one of the bargain Peach Blossom 1's which are being sold off currently.
