How many pushchairs have you been through???

OK so I hope this is going to be the right place for this question! For DD I had a quinny buzz (09) which was good but just didn't last. The buggy board wrecked it I think. I also had a maclaren for her but the lever that locks it shut has broken and the zip on the foot muff broke (no biggy, it is still totally usable). For DS I needed a good front facing buggy and the quinny was too heavy and the seat was too relcined in forward position so I bought a sola from gumtree. New in box and after 3 months it squeeks, the straps are too short already (DS is just over average sized at only 10 MONTHS OLD!) and the footmuff covers up to his knees if that. I am totally scunnered with it. I plan to sell the sola but can I justify buying yet ANOTHER buggy. Please tell me I can. I sooooo want to BJ Versa. I so so want it!

I have 2 DC and have had 4 pushchairs. So you are the same as me so far!

Two children (5 year age gap) one pushchair.

I have 2 DC, have had 3 pushchairs.
1st pushchair was used for 2.5 years with DD1, but broke when DD2 was about 6 months old.
2nd is v v lightweight but doesn't recline, used from 6 months with both DC for travelling on the bus etc, got it second hand and still going strong.
3rd is huge clunky unwieldy thing that I got second hand to replace the broken pushchair. Don't use it that often because it is heavy and annoying, but I didn't have enough money to buy a new one when the other one broke, and had to get one straight away. I really wish I had got a nice reclining lightweight one back then (I covet the baby jogger mini city one), but feel I can't justify getting another one now (but if I was in your situation with a 10 month old, I totally would get another Grin - DD is 20 months, so prob will be out of the pushchair by the end of the year, so I can't justify it!.)

Three DCs (twins then singleton). Errrr......four doubles, one triple and in total four singles. DH thinks I have a wee problem!

When I first had DS1 I had the Mothercare Spin (rooky mistake)

We got the Chicco Liteway for travelling abroad.
We got the Quinny Zapp as DH only has a small car and we use it with the Maxi Cosi car seat.

When DS2 came along 18 months later we got the Baby Jogger City Select for the two of them.

When DS2 has finished day napping, I got to get the Mountain Buggy +One instead :)

Goodness, people have had so many pushchairs!

I have had one (bugaboo cameleon). DD was in it for 2.5 years. DS has now been in it for nearly 9 months. It's as good as new even though it's been used and abused.

I have had two. Bugaboo frog for DS1 and DS2 (6 year difference). Used every day DS2 now 2.5yrs - as good as new.

Also bought Mclaren Techno to keep in the car but barely used really. Bugaboo much easier to handle than techno!

I had ten between my first 2dc. Am expecting dc3 in 4 weeks and have got two new ones Blush. I am the same about cars though, I've got issues.

We had a silver cross one, linear freeway I think, for when DD was tiny. Then I got a 2nd hand Maclaren Triumph for using on buses, or for long days out when DD was bigger. Planning to use both for DC2 when it arrives.

2DC, 7 (I think) pushchairs

1st- Loola, limited choice as a really narrow boot. Liked it but a few niggles.

2nd- QuickSmart Easyfold, liked it but faulty so went back.

3rd- Quinny Zapp, hated no recline, hated the fiddly fold, hated the hood.

4th- Silvercross Pop, fell to bits just out of warranty.

5th- Loola Up, sorted the niggles that I didn't like on original Loola, loved it but is a bit of a tank.

6th- Noa, liked it but fell apart so returned

7th- BJCM- love it, love it, love it. Should have got it ages ago!

I am loving this thread!
Do you think if I sold a nearly new baby bjorn with bjorn cover, sola and quinny (a bit of a duffer) I could justify the versa?

I have 2 dc's and 2 buggys, a mountain buggy single and double (the double coming from ebay secondhand and is about 7 years old now) Both still work even though they have had an absolute battering!

I've only even bought the BJCM and honestly it's the only one I think I'll ever NEED.

I have my brother's (from when he was a baby) McClaren at my parents just to save having to take a pushchair on the ferry/train so I can carry DS in Ergo and drag a suitcase.

I also really wanted, and DH's grandmother found me, a Silver Cross carriage pram but I don't need it and it's seriously impractical!

4 DC and 15 pushchairs.

Maclaren Triumph, Quest and XT, Silver Cross Linear Freeway and 3D, Quinny Buzz and Zapp, M&P Sola, Urbo, Luna and Pulse, P&T Sport, Obaby twin, Dimples Duo and Nipper 360 double.

That's nothing compared to some on here though!

I have my sister's bugaboo frog bought for her dc1 2005. Her dcs 1 and 2 used it and now I am for my dc1 (14 months. I did get foam filled wheels for it rather than use the original air ones.

A Chicco (don't remember the name, hated it and only kept it for a few months)
BJCM
BJCMD when DS2 arrived

A silver cross system, a maclaren XT, a three wheel Hauck, and then a Phil and Teds with double.

Only the two cheapest got used regularly Blush I never actually used the silver cross as a pushchair at all , used it as a pram and with carseat in, then got the Maclaren.

I remember an experienced mum laughing at me choosing a pushchair before the PFB arrived and she said it doesn't matter what you buy, you will end up using a Maclaren anyway. She was totally right.

2 DC's, 2yrs apart.

1st - mothercare Urban Detour 3 wheeler. 6yrs on still going strong. Strong as an ox, will keep it for another year or so in case of emergencies.

2nd - a stroller. Hated it. Used it once and then stored it in the car and went back to the 3 wheeler. I can't walk with a stroller.

3rd - phil + teds double. Got 3yrs out of that and stopped using it before DS started school.

4th - mothercare urban detour double. I loved that one as it could take loads of shopping and the dc's looked cute sitting next to each other. Bought second hand and only used for a few months after DD was born.

Baby jogger city mini here. I luff it. Was recommended by many mates and MN. I've smugly been using it for almost two years and dc2 due this dc2 due this summer. Praying ds will be happier walking longer distances by then as I don't want to buy anything else.

It's taken a battering but is great. Recommended it to loads of ppl who are also happy.

I've bought 2 for DS, got the Baby Jogger City mini, and also bought a John Lewis buggy. I've only used the JL one when on holidays abroad as Baby Jogger is too big for aeroplanes. My Baby Jogger has taken 2 1/2 years of serious abuse (I don't drive and we've got stairs up to our front door which it gets bumped up and down several times a day) but it's still going strong.
