Grrrr! Bugaboo Bee knackered a week after 2yr warranty ends.

Funny that isn't it? Hmmm.

The thread on the handles has completely gone so it won't lock in place in any position. Luckily I'm petite so can have it on the lowest level but DP is tall and needs it higher. Also it's a nightmare going backwards into shop doors and really quite dangerous generally.

Any other experiences of this? What did you do? It's the 2010 model. All their it'll last till your child is 4 nonsense. Feeling very narked!

I am no expert on complaining, but I know some people have successfully argued that a pushchair should realistically last the pushchair use time of one child ie birth to 3 or else it isnt fit for purpose. If you can find evidence of a time scale as you have suggested above on the Bugaboo site etc. plus have a read around this concept, then you may be able to argue a case with Bugaboo, especially when your Bee is so close to the end of warranty. If not, there are lots of places where you can either get your Bee fixed, or buy a new handle / chassis. The Bugaboo Selling Facebook pages may help you more re spare parts.

I had a similar problem - one side of the handle wouldn't lock (Bee +). It happened while in warranty, but Bugaboo posted out a pair of replacement clips and springs that were quick and easy to fit. They were packaged in such a way that I thought it must be a common request, and they looked inexpensive. I'd email them and ask whether it would be possible to get a set sent even though your warranty has expired.

Something happened to my friends (can't remember what sorry) again just out of warranty she had moved from uk to oz in interim . The replaced the whole frame for free (and she had certainly used and abused it) why don't you try them and see

My friend shut her Bee in the boot and the frame snapped. Bugaboo replaced out of warranty no questions asked. I would give them a call. I myself have a 2007 Bee that's still going strong FWIW

Ooh thanks all. That sounds promising. I'll certainly argue the 'buggy to suit child up to age 4' case. x
