Alternative to Bugaboo Bee plus for toddler?

We had the old Bugaboo Frog with DS1 and 2, and DS3 had the Bugaboo Bee Plus (Frog got mouldy in the shed between DS2 and 3!).

Anyway, DS3 is a chunky boy and the straps on the Bee are ok on his shoulders but really cut into his thighs at the loosest fitting, so we just can't use it anymore.

We are looking for a replacement - something suitable for city but with bigger wheels than the Bee for country walks. Don't want to spend loads!

I haven't looked at pushchairs since DS3 was born in 2011 so any advice appreciated!

Thanks in advance...

i have the bugaboo cameleon. great stroller but expensive. do you want to spend that much? if not try the moutain buggy, much more reasonably priced, pushes like a dream and great for the city. if you have a car, it also folds much easier and more compact than bugaboo.

hope this helps.

Do you still have the frog? You can buy new fabrics for it

Don't have the Frog chassis anymore, wish I'd kept it now! Much prefer it to the Bee!

Cutestgirls I don't want to buy another new Bugaboo because I don 't want all of the newborn accessories, second hand may be an option though... Mountain buggy sounds ok!

Thanks!

If you're happy with forward facing you should look at the micralite

If you don't mind forward facing then I would recommend one of the baby jogger range. I have the city elite and it's a fantastic pushchair. My DD is a big girl and the seat and harness are lovely and roomy. It feels very well made and glides along. The baby jogger city mini is also mentioned alot on here, I went with the elite for the bigger wheels for off road/beach. HTH

Thanks for this! I like the look of the baby jogger range, looks much sturdier than the Bee.

Do you like the Bee? If so, get a pair of pointy scissors and carefully snip the line of stitching on the lower harness near the child's hips, near the buckle, on either side. This should free the harness up and hopefully your problem is solved :o
