Does anybody have a Mee-Go?

Hi, I'm expecting my first baby in March and have begun to dip my toe in the utterly baffling waters of pushchair choices. I went to the local Pram Centre today with a wise mum friend and had a look around. The one I liked best was a Mee-Go travel system, which seemed easy to use and good value at £400 including a car seat.

But I can't find many reviews on here: are they new? Does anyone have one? I'd really appreciate any views.

Thanks

I stumbled across Mee-Go the other week and got the opportunity to have a really good play. I thought it felt really good TBH. It has a lovely light chassis. The seat seemed a good size. I liked the pramette conversion, the coloured fabrics and the fact you get so much with the pushchair eg bag, seat etc. I was pleasantly surprised as it does seem great. The only thing I found tricky was the seat removal. I haven't used one though but I usually get a good feel from a good play!

Thanks. It did seem really nice. I currently find seat removal tricky on all models, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it!

Hello, I am expecting my first in March too, and was in the same overwhelming pram situation as you. I bought the Mee Go 2 weeks ago. I saw it at the London baby show and really liked it, its a new company which is why I don't think there's many reviews, but for the price and ease of use I think its good value. From my internet searches it seems like many people are taken with it, having seen it at shows etc. Its also been shortlisted for an award. I ordered it online at online for baby and got it for about £330 including delivery.

I found it a bit stiff to swap the seat etc around but I think thats something that will improve and loosen with practice, hence why I bought it months before the baby's due!
The only issues I have so far are: the instructions are terrible, really really awful. I wonder if thats because I bought the colour pack rather than the regular black kit because the instructions seem to operate on the assumption that I know what the hell I am doing and which piece is what! It took me a while to figure it out (and Im still not sure ive got it all right) maybe thats because I have no experience with baby equipment?
The car seat hood isnt removable (at least that I can see) which I am not thrilled about but its up to code so I figure it cant be dangerous having a car seat with a hood.
The Meego website says theres a viewing window in the hood of the pushchair, but not in mine, again, it could be because I bought the colour pack instead of the basic black -- I have emailed the company I bought from to query it.
Theres also not much information about the straps you pull to turn the carrycot into a seat and vice versa, (it just says 'open the straps' but mine were already open when it arrived) but maybe thats just something you need to play around with? I guess thats what you get when you order online rather than from a shop -- I cant remember what the guy showed me at the show how to do it. I think the Meego website could do with a how-to video, their site is a bit crap.

Sorry this post is not hugely helpful as I don't know what its like to use on the streets with a baby inside but from wheeling it around my house it seems good, sturdy but not too heavy, and it has a TON of extras which really helped sell it, as I was pricing other systems out and to get all the added bits it was coming close to a grand. So far, I am happy with this overall and I don't care that its a new brand, this is all new to me anyway!

I think to convert the pushchair / pramette is simply to do up the straps underneath - I think they are just buckles so that the excess fabric gets pulled up?

Thanks both, it sounds like I should go back to the shop and have a thorough play with it and a chat with the shop staff before I make a decision. I'm going to go to Mothercare too and see what else is out there.
