Old Phil and Ted needs new parts

I bought my P&T Explorer E3 in December 2004, and it needs some new parts. I've been prowling the internet, but suddenly worried that the 'new' Explorer E3 parts might not fit my older (and very basic, compared to the newer ones!) model. Does anyone have any experience of buying spare parts that can reassure/ warn me?
Thanks.

Need to know if you own an e3 v1 or v2 model? Check the logo on the seat of your stroller, if it reads 'e3', you own an e3 v2 Grin

I also need new parts for a well used P&T. Was interested in the web link but doesn't have the bit I am after! I don't know what it is called but it is the bit the hangs below the bugggy - I use it for shopping, but it is also I guess where the rear seat footwell bit is and having had a look it forms the front step bit. Has anyone else needed to replace this part and if so where did you get it from?

parcel tray and footwell, what model, phil and teds do stock them.

Thanks for the correct name! I've never been entirely sure of the model (there seem to be loads) as I bought it on Ebay, but the label says Phil & Teds Sport. Is that enough to go on?

yes, its a sport!!! first read this
Need to know if you own a sport v1 or v2 model? Check how the backflap attaches to the sport seat when it's reclined to lie flat position. If the backflap velcroes on, you own a sport v1
If the backflap attaches using a toggle & loop system, you own a sport v2
then when you have looked go here

if you look at the pics you will see that the part is a brighter colour to the rest of the pushchair ie the parcel tray and footwell will be brighter, this way you will know you are ordering the right part.

Thanks for that pramsgalore. I think I have the version 1 and will now be getting a back flap as well. Didn't know about those either and always found it a bit of a pain with a baby in the reclined position with sun/wind etc. They aren't cheap buggies but mine has been used everyday for more than 4 years and its still brilliant.

Just read that back - seems a bit odd to call it a bit of a pain and brilliant, but I guess no buggy is perfect and the pros of it massively outweigh the cons IMO
