2nd hand Bug Cam - 1st or 2nd gen chassis??

Does it make a huge amount of difference?? The only differences I've found have been minimal so far, would you agree?

Thought I'd found a brilliant hardly used one, but the woman has been a total nightmare and I've all but given up and am back on the hunt!

i think the 1st gen has air tyres...

The 2nd gen has a better handle. The screws kept coming out of my first gen.

1st gen has air tyres, 2nd has foam, handle has little butterfly bolts for height adjustment on 1st, 2nd has like tabs which i have heard/read people have had issues with ie handle not locking, looking at ebay listing somepeople are saying 2nd gen has different fold, although i found the 1st gen fold very easy to do. i think that is it, although you will be more likely to get canvas hood with a 2nd gen and fleece with 1st. hope that helps, in my opion when they start trying to improve a model that was fine to begin with sometimes the orginal is better

Oh the yellow ones are just lovely, but dh not so keen.

The one I've put an offer in on is charcoal base and red fleece, but I really wanted the original one which was navy base and bright blue fleeces.

I like most of the colours really but would prefer a bright one compared to say black/stone. I love the pink too, but am having a boy this time!

Now I've decided on my buggy I'm moving onto changing bags .

ooooo with a bugaboo a skip hop could clip to the handle bar and i can let you know how it fits when my bug turns up, not many bags will hang off the handlebar as it goes straight down [no back to stop it from slipping down] the bugaboo rucksack is really good as it straps to the handle and handle side in four places so won't swing about

I had a skip hop duo with dd and I wasn't the biggest fan tbh!

My friend has this one, which is lovely. I was looking at this which shows it hanging on a Cam, or this one. I have a birthday coming up and don't really want anything, so my mum said she'd treat me to a bag.

oooo they are all so nice, much nicer than when i was looking for a changing bag, have had my skiphop bag for a few years so not really looked, yes i see it hanging off the cam, but that would only work with a first gen as it uses the little butterfly bolt on one side and the brake on the other to keep it up, but you could use buggy clips, dashing off to look at some trendy changing bags Grin loving the red spotty one and it looks like it would hold loads

Sorry!!! Grin Although I love the red spotty one too.

Dd is 5 and they've changed a lot since then. The ds's are 22 & 20.... you can guess how much they've changed since then!!

I was going to get a new handbag and was looking at Cath Kidston ones, then saw her changing bags, so ended up looking at changing bags. It's not good is it?!! I'd love a Storksak but they're lots of £££'s.

ooo thats great what colour did you get?, i had a surprise last night, got a message to say my cam was on over night delivery, it's sat in my hallway looking lovely, though i do need to get my yellow covers out of the loft, but will be blue for today, [the demin still are damp as she washed them and they took longer than expected to dry so are on my line] am off out soon for a walk,

It's the red fleece with grey base. I'm thinking that red spotty changing bag will look very nice....

Oh how lovely! That was fast delivery. See, I'm going to need spare fleeces aren't I? Grin

of course you are!!!! can not have a cam and not be able to change the colour, the blue canvas are nice, now i have seen the canvas ones, i think i prefer them as bits won't stick to them, although my yellow ones are fleece and are softer to the touch, i may have to get red as they do look smart, the off white looks very smart as well and a bit different, that red spotty bag is lovely.

I got my buggy! Oh it's so nice! I keep going upstairs and having a little play/push. It pushes beautifully empty, but dd refused to get in it for me to try with her in Wink. She's 5, but a tiny skinny girl.

I'm holding off on the changing bag for now. I have spd and was so depressed at being given crutches on Friday that I decided something for me was in order for my birthday, so I'm getting a Cath Kidston tote bag. It's nice and roomy so should have enough room for nappy and wipes, which will keep me going for a while.

I do love the red spotty bag though... maybe for Christmas.

I did mention to dh that you can get different coloured fleeces. He rolled his eyes Grin.

Sad sorry to hear about you having to use crutches spd can be so painful. i suffered mildly with dd4 and that would bring me to tears walking 10 mins to the school.pleased to hear you got your bug they are lovely to push do you have long to wait?
cath kidston bags are so pretty, and you may find that you don't need a changing bag as its roomy, then you could treat yourself to something else instead.
you could get some covers off ebay, you may get a bargain, i have just bought some red fleece covers off ebay to go with the denim, dp does not know yet though Blush Grin. have put the yellow ones on and i had forgot how bright they are, don't know if i like them now, thought the red will be a tad less in your face and although i like the denim hood it is a bit boring,ok for a change though.
