Umbrella fold with one handed push?

Is there such a thing? Am wondering about ditching my Oyster and my cheapo car stroller and getting one nicer stroller, but if I am giving up the Oyster I really want something that pushes one handed. DD is 18mo. Any suggestions?

A Maxi Cosi Noa - easy peasy one handed push (may be too simple for you but it really is fab!)

I can push the maclaren quest with one hand (which I do frequently as DS likes to walk so have to keep hold of him too!)

Thanks both - Noa looks good, but I think the Maclaren beats it slightly by having an extendable leg rest and a bigger hood. Any other suggestions welcome! :)

Cybex Callisto from mamas and papas? Umbrella folds, single handle, multi position seat with footrest, huge hood, lovely fabrics! I love mine, can you tell?! HTH

Oh bloody hell, Callisto looks like exactly what I want, but is ££££!!!! And we're just about to move house :( Chicco is veeery cheap but has separate handles - but a ton of bags and a 2.4 year old you say? Interesting.....

Actually I can't see the Callisto in M&P or indeed anywhere in the UK or even Europe. So I think I'm off the hook in that respect! Milknosugar the Liteway may be the way forward!

Thanks all for suggestions :)

I got my Callisto from a seller on eBay! Absolute bargain! £50 plus £12 postage. Worth a look if you don't mind a lightly used one!

Hmmm I did see one here but was a bit wary of buying it secondhand. What do you think? How does it look compared to yours?

Milknosugar would you choose a secondhand Callisto in black or a brand new Liteway in a pretty colour? :) Price is not much different.

Ooooh or Liteway BNIB foul colour but I do like the bumper bar which I can't seem to find other than on these special editions. Not much in the way of feedback though.

Checked out that eBay listing-seller has good feedback and is a business seller, they've loads of prams for sale. Condition wise it's similar to mine, few marks but you expect that with a used pram! If it were me I'd go for that one! The Callisto was about £260 new, it's a well built and solid, my maclaren feels flimsy in comparison!
I use mine as the buggy I keep in the car boot and wouldn't be without it-to the extent that I am tempted to buy a spare incase it breaks! The single handle is such a great feature, my wrist used to end up aching from pushing the mac one handed.
Can't comment on the liteway as I've not used one yet but it looks really nice! Tricky isn't it buying a pushchair! I've already got 3 and DD is only 12 weeks! Wink

Good lord! I had a Mothercare My3 when DD was born, which I loathed - so we got a Babystyle Oyster when she was about 3mo which I love but takes up a very large proportion of our boot. Then we bought a Mamu2 (I think) for £30 from Argos Clearance to take on hols, but 1) it's rubbish to push and 2) it hasn't coped well with the flight to Scotland and back - the two handle bits are now hanging off it! So this would be no4. She is 18mo so that means I will have had one pushchair every 4.5 months - hardly any compared to your rate of one every 4 weeks!!! Grin

Hope Milknosugar comes back so she can give me her opinion, as she has used both.

The worst part is I bought all 3 before she had even arrived! The mac I had from DS, at the time I loved it, mind you i had a mamas and papas pliko and anything was preferable to that! I bought a britax b smart as my main pram for DD and I love it-it copes with anything! But it doesn't fit in my car boot well at all! So on my due date, bored waiting for baby I happened across the Callisto on eBay and impulse bought it! So glad I did! Hopefully milknosugar will come back and compare the two for you!

Sorry!

Brand new Liteway over second hand callisto

Have used a new and second hand Callisto-They seem to deteriorate over a shorter time-become v wobbly etc, are also heavier

The chicco I use at work, that I can push one handed with 2.4yo in and shopping is second hand and has been through 1 child already!

OK! Excellent, thank you MilkNoSugar :)

Pramsgalore that's really weird, the Callisto isn't listed on their site at all! I might just casually wander over to have a peek!
