Stroller for tall dc?

It's not urgent, but I waould like a stroller for ds3 for NEXT summer. He is 6.5 months now, so will be 18 month-ish when I want it. He is VERY tall, is already the size of a 1yo for height (OVER the 99.9th centile line on the charts for height). Most of the strollers I've seen, his feet are already on the footrest, and his head at the top of the seat. By next yr, his feet will be trailing on the ground!

So, what I'm asking is, are there any strollers with a higher seat than normal, that a very tall child could sit comfortably in?

I currently have a Hartan racer pram that is very good for walking long distances/ pushing through woods/ pushing over sand/ loading up with shopping - BUT, and it's a big but, it's bloomin HUGE (It's nicknamed the tank), and not entirely suitable for public transport. Which is a bit of a drag, as I don't drive, so have to use public transport to get anywhere!

Maclaren XT or XLR are designed for bigger children.

I have a Baby Jogger City Mini Double for DD2 & DD3. DD2 is 105cm and has room to grow, in fact lazy bones DD1 on occasions catches a lift and she is 117cm and the hood still goes over her head!

I'm sure the single version of it is the same height, though I don't know about the single version of the City Micro (the step down from the Mini) as to whether that has the same tall back so it would be best to check first about that one.

Is the babyjogger a single? I've only seen them as doubles? See, DS3 is 86cm already, and is only 28 weeks.

Ooooo sounds like that'll be the one, after reading properly. Wonder if I can get one cheap on Ebay?

I agree with the Baby Jogger City Mini suggestions but I have just got a Noa and it's great for taller toddlers. My tall 2.9 year old looks incredibly comfy in it. There is a long way between the knee and footrests. There is loads of room under the hood for her too, and the hood removes. The Baby Jogger City Mini is more pushchair like (I have one) but I totally recommend the Noa - it seems vet innocent but does the job brilliantly in a tiny package.

What's his weight like? If it's commensurate with his height you might need a Baby Jogger for the 25kg weight limit otherwise he'll be out of any standard UK/EU pushchair at 15kg (which might be 12-18m if he is above the 99.6th%ile for weight as well as height).

He's growing out of 18-24 month clothes. Strangely, he's very 'light' for his height, he's only on the 75th centile line for that!

All my dc are tall and skinny though - my 7.7yo ds2 is 4ft7, my 9.4yo ds1 is 4ft10, and my 13.5yo DD is 5ft4. And they're all still growing. Hmm. Ds1 has grown half an inch in the last 4 weeks Hmm Hmm.

As you mention public transport, I'd say the maclaren xlr.
