Bugaboo Bee Best price/ price match

Can someone help calm me down? I've ordered a Bee+ with car seat, adaptors and baby cocoon from John Lewis with the idea that I'd get them to price match as they are just about the most expensive place to buy from. Am now getting twitchy that their terms for price matching are more picky than they let on to start with (ie it's taken them 3 weeks to get everything in stock but will only match if competitor has stock available immediately) I've been told dofferent things by different customer service reps and am getting in a real tizz that I'll end up paying full price for it all.

Has anyone successfully got them to match a price from Lullaboo baby or Just Kidding (or do you know of anywhere better to get them to match)?

Thanks

I believe Mothercare will price match plus they give you a voucher or something as well. I have heard this several times in particular with a Bee Plus.

But just to add why don't you simply buy from one of the two other shops especially if they are in stock? I buy almost all my pushchairs from Lullaboo Baby and I find them great - and you only truly find put how good a shop is when you have an issue (which I did with two different brands and they sorted the fixes out fast).

Thanks. I have already paid for my JL order now, on the understanding that the pricematch would go through fine. If I have problems with that side of things I think I'm just going to return it all unopened and buy from one of the cheaper places anyway. It's good to know that Lullaboo are good on sorting out issues - the reason I wanted to go with JL is because I wanted to be able to wave my receipt around in a real shop if there was a problem.

Hi Eskarina. I have asked JL to pricematch in advance and they have done so with Peppermint, an online store that also has shops (2 I think) in the south east: www.peppermint.co.uk/nursery_department/shop-by-brand/bugaboo.html (scroll down). This way they will do a bugaboo bee +; hood and cocoon for £479. Peppermint have various bundles that you could get JL to price match, but I have decided to get the carseat, isofix base and adapters either from kiddicare/save combination or mothercare on a price-match. Hope this helps.

That's really good to know, thanks rosalux. I asked in store about them doing the pricematch beforehand and was told that that wasn't how it worked (even though the previous person said they would Hmm) so am left waiting to see if they'll do it afterwards.
DH is convincing me it will all be fine, but thanks both for your advice.

If they're being difficult about it, you could always say you're sending it back, they might suddenly relax about it and do the price match. Smile
