PLEASE HELP!! Is it safe to put one side of back seat down so buggy lies longways in car?

I have a Mountain Buggy Urban which is great and fits in our estate fine. We also have a Skoda Fabia and while the boot is pretty big it doesnt quite accommodate the monster truck. Is it safe to put one side of the back seat down so that the buggy would be lying long ways from the boot to touching the passenger seat?
Has anyone else done this?

I don't see why not, after all that is why cars have split seats ie to carry items. If you are worried about it moving in an accident then you could always find a way to tether it.

I agree as long as you make sure it won't move if you had an accident by wedging it or tethering it or something. Smile

Hooray it fits perfectly when one back seat is down. If I put the seat belt round it and tether it in the back (using the very convienient velcro tie in the back of the car) it doesn't move at all. Plus I now have boot space for shopping/other baby essentials!
