Baby Jogger City Mini in Purple

Has any one bought the BJ city mini in purple colour? I want to get one but can only see the photos online and not sure if the colour is the same in reality? Also, does it look dirty quickly? Is it better to get the black/grey one?

Well in my experience black buggies look grubbier more quickly as they show every single crumb up and milk/baby sick stain...So now i'd much prefer a bit of color.

I don't think the purple looks the same in real life but having photographed the City Select Amethyst it is incredibly hard to get the rich purple to show a true colour. I have some photos of the purple city mini but am not convinced they are the true colour. That probably doesn't help!! I have a black / grey one and it is clean after every day use. It depends on your children, weather and if they eat & drink in the pushchair.

Thanks both, this helps. I would like the purple one if it was a dark deep shade so it doesn't show the dirt. Only seen the black/grey and it looks classy. Will have to prevent my child from eating in the pushchair! don't think that's possible when you want to keep them sitting down when shopping!

Will these photos help? I think if you look at the double purple pushchair in the background, that it is probably a better colour match than the one in the foreground with the flash on. I think they look a bit metallic looking in the photos and I can't remember if they really did. The City Select is certainly a really rich deep purple and the City Mini isn't the same. Actually I have just dug the catalogue out and I would say maybe the photos are a tad red and that the purple is deeper....but its still not the same as the BJCS. I dont know if that helps at all!

Thank you Guildfordnanny, this is very helpful. If it is a bit metallin and not a very deep purple I'm tempted to go for the balck/grey to be on the safe side! Great website by the way, thanks.

We've got the black one and I have to say after slinging it about every which way but up it doesn't seem to have gotten grubby at all. I've even fed DS in it and despite the fact he just has to look at something to get it dirty it's held up well.

Personally I like the black, but thats personal to me. I'm not a very colourful buggy person.

Thank you for the compliment Zaaaazoooo. It's a crazy labour of love but it keeps me out of mischief ;) I like the black too because then you can add any colour buggysnuggle or Snunkie cosy toes or liner inside of it. I have black too and mine gets used every day and it still looks like new.

It's an aubergine colour, it's not the one shown in the picture link from Guildfordnanny. Fantastic buggy either colour is good

Hmm...I know the colour is questionable but like I said the ones at the back can't be too far off. It certainly isn't the same colour as the deep (more like Aubergine) of the City Select. I agree the buggy is fantastic though!
