Pushchairs

Not sure what I want or need

Hello

We currently have a babyjogger citi mini for our DS, who is a small 1 year old. Generally we love it. Anyway DH and i are just about to go on holiday to France and are wondering whether it may now be time to get a second buggy.

The thing is I don't know whether if we do, we should get something small and light (and if so what is smaller and lighter than a BJCM) that we don't mind the airlines buggering up in transit, or take the BJCM with us and get a more sturdy pushchair for DS - we have sometimes wanted something which is a bit better off road. If we did it would still have to fold small as we only have a honda jazz

DS can't walk at all yet, and it will be some time before he can as he has gross motor skill delay caused by being prem. Not sure how relevant that is but he will probably need a pushcahir in soem way shape or form for some time.

WWYD in these circumstances, and which pushcahirs and buggies should I look at?

Personally I wouldn't be looking for something small and light as that's what you've got already. If the airline do trash it it's money wasted anyway. I'd chance the BJCM on the plane and look for something for off road. If that's what you've already been thinking about getting, then you're unlikely to find that thought goes when you have another little one and are still struggling off road.

Having said all that I'm not sure what I would suggest as a small off-roader. Confused

Air Buggy Mimi is the smallest folded air wheel 3 wheeler.
Its wheels aren't as big as most though.
I'm using one for my big 2 year old and he has loads of room, its very easy to push but I haven't used it off road properly yet. Feels as good as a Nipper anyways.

thanks

for the sake of completeness having had one prem with additional needs the chance of another DS is somewhere between very slim and completely no-existent
