Help! Double buggy needed asap - but which one!

Argh! Thought my pram buying days were over but my sis has asked me to look after her little boy 2 days a week so I now need a double buggy to accommodate him and my own 2 yr old but which one? I used to have a Phil and Teds 5 years ago for my eldest which was fine but am v. aware there are lots more on the market now...

Anyone got any recommendations? Would ideally like one that adapts for when I only have my little man and then I can sell my single on ebay.

Thanks : )

I have a Britax B Dual, brilliant as both seats recline.

I second the B-Dual given you already have a two year old. The Hauck Duett is pretty good too but the fold is larger as a double. Or a Phil&Teds again if you don't need storage space.

I like the look of the Britax B Dual too - or the Baby Jogger City Select (although it's not cheap!).

The M&P Skate now has a non-reclining toddler seat for £89.10 and you can get Skates pretty cheap on eBay. Mamas and Papas claim you can't put the toddler seat on the old versions and that the new ones are reinforced but there is no weight difference at all so I don't believe them. And Peg Perego say that it fits all models.

The Bugaboo Donkey and iCandy Peach/Peach Blossom and Apple/Pear are also expensive possibilities. I can't think of any other convertible ones at the moment.

My B dual is actually for sale, 6 months old, green, two sets of cosy toes, fleece sets and waterproof setts, plus raincover.

Love it but I am retiring as a childminrer next week and wont need it any more Grin

The Skate with toddler seat is terrible! I thought it would be good but it is simply impossible to lift the front end up off the ground. As you push the handle 'gives' and I was really scared of breaking it. It's the first pushchair I have completely failed to begin to lift up off the floor at the front. The seats are far too close together and the sales assistant told me I should put my 9 month old completely out of sight in the toddler seat with it's three point harness rather than the toddler!! I couldn't see my eldest at all and it's one of only two tandems she was desperate to get put of. She usually loves 'playing pushchairs'.
