My 16 week old daughter is incredibly frustrated in the carrycot on theicandy cherry. She still fits in it but is miserable and tries the whole time as she is trying to sit up and clearly can't yet! The pushchair says not suitable for under 6 months - does anyone know why this is and if it is ok for her to go in it now?!!

I have the cherry and put my DS in it before 6 months. I just padded the pushchair with a sheepskin and blanket so that it was comfy for him. In fact I think I only used the carrycot part about twice!

I have an icandy cherry and also put my DS in it at 4 months as he wanted to look around, like bunsandroses said just bulk it out with blankets and keep it on the flat setting.

I know it says suitable from 6 months but if she is annoyed with laying down then she will be fine, I think it's just a guideline so that baby is not sitting bent all the time but from 3 months plus they sell semi-reclining pushchairs so can't be that much of a problem and it is probably better than a car seat from birth so yes I would aslong as you have a footmuff or something comfy and padded for her. :)

Bugaboo say the same thing...My DD was in the seat at 8 weeks as she hated lying flat in the carrycot and her big pram...Years ago almost all buggies had bucket seats so you had no choice.
