Maclaren Quest or Triumph (or other)?

Any views on which of these is best?

I have a Quinny Buzz which I hate - too big, no basket, front wheel sticks, just rubbish (sorry to all the buzz lovers) My DS is 4 months, and is going to be a big lad I reckon if this makes a difference to the decision?

We have a good sized boot, storage space in the house isn't a big problem and don't use public transport. But have a small budget.

Was thinking of a Maclaren as they seem to fit all the requirements, but not sure of the advantages of the Quest over the Triumph. I know the Techno is supposed to be ace and wish we'd got this in the beginning, but a bit more pricey for what we need now.

Open to other suggestions too Grin

We've got a quest but only started using it when DS was a bit bigger - around 10 months - before that I thought DS seemed to small as it's quite low down. Ithought he seemed a bit exposed (PFB!)

However now I love the quest. It's very light, easy to fold, easy to push and doesn't take up much space in the boot of our car. We originally got it to keep for when we had to drive somewhere but now we use it all the time! In the cold weather, we got a footmuff which kept DS very snug. Also the raincover is nice and small.

How big is your LO Iggly? I'm quite sure my DS is going to be a tall boy so don't want to get something that will have his feet dragging too soon.

He's about mid height for his age. It has a foot rest for when he gets taller so his feet won't drag, he can put them on there. DS is nowherenear reaching it now! You can also adjust the length of the seat where his thighs rest if that makes sense.

Quest - we started using a quest instead of Buzz when DS2 was 5 months and havent looked back. You need to put in a buggie snuggle and have it on its most reclined level to start - still using it now and DS2 is 2.

Techno SLR is ace, we've been using it with DS (who's now 6 months) since birth and there's still a good bit of growing room in there for him. It's easy to push, easy to fold down and v comfy for the baby too.

Agree that it's a fairly pricy choice tho, esp if you've already forked out for a Buzz. And Techno is not the most lightweight buggy, it's lighter than a lot of other prams but heavier than most pushchairs IYSWIM.

Anyway, Maclaren buggies are a great buy but if I was buying another one I'd go for whichever is the lightest of the two since that always makes things easier on you!

I have the Quest as a holiday buggy for DD who is nearly 4 months. She is 14lbs and really is too small for it yet. It does say suitable from 3 months because it reclines a bit, but she does not look a bit comfy in it. We don't need it just yet and I do think it will be a great buy later on down the line.
In comparison to our travel system its soooo much lighter and easy to manouever (sp? Looks wrong). Its rubbish on gravel and on country roads you would really notice the difference between it and a travel system.
I researched it a bit at the time and for the price and purpose, having already shelled out the big bucks, it came out on top for me. I don't regret buying it, just haven't gotten the use out of it yet IYKWIM.

I have a Quest and cannot think of a single bad thing to say about it, at all. It is fabulous.
DD began using it at 4 months, she is now 1. It has been to Spain on a plane twice and still as sturdy as the day we bought it.

Thanks guys, I think I will look into getting a Quest, but perhaps give myself a couple more months with the Buzz (which gives me MORE hours to spend on tinternet looking for good deals on the Quest).
