Serious buggy advice needed, am at a loss!

My second child is due in a few weeks time.

I have a DD who will be 2.5 when the new baby arrives.

DDs buggy recently broke and so I decided to get a bugaboo cameleon with the view to use it for the new baby.

The plan was to have the cam for baby with the buggy board for DD for short journeys.

And when we walk farther buy a cheap double 3 wheeler.

However flaws in the plan have appeared.

If we needed to use the single buggy for our older daughter then its a complete and utter ightmare getting the cam from pram mode to pushchair mode.

And I'm not entirely convinced that DD will do well on a buggy board even with a twoo seat.

Also my husband HATES the cam, he says its crap for the money, and doesn't suit our needs, he wants me to get rid of it.

But then what do I get??

Please don't say P&T i loathe them and won't even consider one.

Am bloody stressed!

Relax!!!!

The cam is brilliant, works really well with a board and extend the handle as high as it goes loads of room for your dd without you having to walk like a duck. If you want the option of swapping from pram to seat if you put baby in a sling and your dd in buggy just buy a spare seat frame (new Born in Bristol also online or pick up one on ebay) then you can have the seat ready and whichever one you don't use sling in the cuboard.

It really is the best best best pram when your dd wants to hop off the board so easy to push one handed whilst holding on to her.

A cheap double you may well use a lot for the first 6 months but then your dd will be 3 so you won't need anything for her for long.

My dd turned when her brother arrived and we tried the board as we walk everywhere inc playgroup everyday and back 1.2 miles each way. She was better walking so sold the board but that 6 months more was why.

Wait until your husband pushing the pram and rgets all the admiring stares not at him or the baby but the pram!!!

People often sell seat frames on eBay if you wanted to do that option.

I've got a nipper double 360 for walking days and a city mini single for other odd days,,,,but our 3x a week playgroup walk is currently too far for my just turned 3 yr old, she was 2.5 when dd2 born, I had a p and t and it did not work for my age gap, the double nipper is super comfy for diff size children, it doesn't feel huge as only three wheels, you can great bargains on bay and spend more of budget on a fancy single pram? I have to say I've tried all options, slings bugles, tandems boards etc and vie hit on the answer with my nipper, I adore it! My large 36 month old does not look silly in it, she walks ace but def still needs a rest on way home from preschool, I can however wheel it in and out my house and leave it up in hall and I keep the city mini In the car boot and prob use double more days than single as we walk for playgroup 3days a week and a fab toddler group one day if I have the energy...in short get a double to start you off.....it's even handy in our large shopping centre when long distances round the malls are boring for toddler I can zip both girls round, have loads storage on nipper for the inevitable coats coming off, hats, shopping, toys, blankies, food, my stuff etc! And get it over with quick for more time for quick trip to soft play or park on way home etc. Basically I found the two pram solution the absolute best for me

I did think p and t would work but......my dd1 was too big to be comfy in back of explorer and I sold it after three weeks! A side by side gives quick easy access to both littlies and my older loves looking after her little sister in pram....she actualy holds her hand now the baby is also sitting up at 7 months and keeps her ticking along! And dd1 can get in and out nipper herself it doesn't tip and it's easy to push one handed when she's walking,,,,and sorry I'm nearly finished waffling! .........because it's three wheeler I don't feel like I'm pushing round a tank for one baby and a often walking toddler! I could not manage without it as dd1 really can't make it all way home from playgroup walk herself and it's too bumpy a path for a bug board and in the rain the nipper goes faster! Best of luck and relax! Make your life as easy as possible, it's fab being mum of toddler and baby but hard work and any kit that makes it easier, speshly in first 6months then buy what you can afford to ease the transition I say! Certainly makes it easier and gives you more option s if dc1 has a seat when required!
