Which is the best model? Im thinking of getting one of these for my two year old and baby of almost four months but can't decide between the two.

Hi,

I don't actually have either of these but am currently trying to whittle down my list of doubles for my toddler and new arrival and just wanted to say I discarded the Dash after having a 'play' with it in real life because of the brake.

To put the brake on you move the adjustable handle bar down to the lowest point. For me, this meant if you had the hang bag on the handle it would fall off and makes getting into the baby or rear passenger more difficult.

If you go onto Kiddicare.com and into the Phil and Teds Dash and click on the you tube video you will be able to see better what I mean.

As I say it is just my opinion and I am sure this isn't a problem for many people, I just wanted to point it out.

The Explorer brake is a foot pedal.

However, the doubles kit on the Dash I think does recline a bit while the Explorer does not. Also if you use a car seat for your baby quite a lot the Explorer can be used with the car seat at the same time as the doubles kit while on the Dash you cannot.

Sorry for rambling on. Hope it helps somewhat and someone with actual experience of either of these will be able to help you further.

Got an explorer, it's brilliant to push and fold and use generally, my dd1 is poss over the weight limit for rear seat as baby goes in main all time and older just hops in for a short while if tired but it seems fine, is very stable and well made.....I'm using it daily and I'm not being delicate with it!
