They are going to be narrower because they have to fit 2 seats the same size into a space that's only about 25cm bigger.

Is your older child particularly big or heavy? Each seat can take up to 15kg, but I think you would struggle if the heavier or older child is broad/ sturdily built.

Can you head to a baby shop that sells them and try one out?

iv got one but packed away somewhere at mo. I had a 3.5yr old in 1 side and he fitted quite well although it was v heavy to push as he was about 15 kg

cheers ladies
my 3yo is quite chunky and is happy to walk about a mile but i need to do a few more than that and DD2 is getting too heavy to carry in the sling. Realistically I only need it until June so don't want to splash the cash on anything too expensive. ho hum

buggyboard option? would your eldest be able to use a tri-scooter or something?

we have tried the buggy board option but it's not great on my slightly knackered back so am going to return it. Am slowly coming to the conclusion that it might have to be a second hand mountian buggy that I can resell

hiya,i had a twin traveller for a holiday last yr,at one point we had a 10mo in one side and a 5yo sleeping in the other side (he is prob about the size of a 3/4yo) and it was surprisingly easy to push,(i also have a dodgy back)
mine cost £15 from a local car boot!

good luck x
