P&T Explorer - anyone got one/tried one?

Just wondered if the hood lifts up like the Vibe to make more room for a taller child??

Tried the Sport but the hood brushes on the top of my daughters head. The Vibe works but it's just the most expensive one - typically! So if this has more room or lifts it would be great.

Yes we have just got one, we were going to get a vibe for the same reason as you but the explorer hood detaches so you can move it up the frame to make more room. The only thing is that if you have the rain cover on at the same time the weight may make the hood slide down again to its 'proper' position, but I think on the whole it will be fine (haven't actually tested it out properly as dc2 hasn't arrived yet).

bumping for any more reviews/opinions on this. I just got rid of my Vibe, HATED it with a passion, so cumbersome and large. Looking to get the explorer, as we need a double (have just had to carry my 3yo home on my shoulders from preschool while pushing the single stroller, gah!)

I have one, but never had a p&t before so can't compare. Hood is high anyway, 98cm 3yo fits in the 'pilot' seat. But the hood does move up on the frame, however, if you want to close it it'll pop off if you're not careful and the velcro rubs your knuckles if you have the handle at full height.

Love the buggy now, did have some issues when if first got it out the box. The wheel guards were bent and rubbed on the tyres but they straightened out over night. I was also alarmed at how the child in the rear seat could release the recline on the front seat and get the whole lot on their head in a jiffy BUT found 2 clips at the top of the frame to prevent this happening - these are nowhere to be found in the instruction booklet or anywhere on the p&t website?! BUT they are on the pram and are very useful. I almost took the pram back I was so concerned about this.
Rear seat takes a tall toddler. Basket also takes a small toddler Smile and is accessable in the toddler/newborn mode.

Overall the whole thing is very stable and easy to push. Like the hood pockets and large hood. Folds small too, much smaller than vibe.

there is a deal on the black/black ones in kiddicare, i am really tempted as they have redesigned the frame to make it more stable.

We went to try it out and haven't bought it yet but will do. WE loved it. Seemed to have all the good points of the Vibe and the Sport but none of the bad. Not done anymore than walk around the shop with it but liked what I saw. So light.
