Maclaren Triumph or Volo?

I'm looking to get a main buggy for my 14 month old. I'll use this buggy everyday so want it to be sturdy although light enough to carry in one hand whilst i climb up flights of stairs whilst carrying my daughter in the other hand (on trams and in train stations) I don't want to spend loads. Have you found the Triumph to be light enough?
I haven't seen either of these buggies in the flesh! What would you recommend?

I have a Volo and it's great- super light, DD seems to be comfortable in it, easy to fold. It doesn't fold, though and the breaks are a bit fiddly. But other than that it's great.

it doesn't recline do you mean?

im not sure i could only have a volo for a main buggy for a 14m old, will she want to nap in it at all? not impossible but not the most comfy of buggies. it is so much better than triumph tho. if you want a recline get a quest.

I have a Volo and I found that I didn't use it for either DC until they were about 18 months as they slumped over in the seat and it didn't look good for their backs. They did find it comfy when they were tall enough though. I found it fine for public transport, but a bit of a pain to walk on dodgy London pavements as the tiny wheels meant that they got caught quite easily. I think the wheels have been improved in more recent models though. The brakes are still rubbish as far as I know though, which means that when you're on the tube you have to use your foot against the wheel to wedge the pushchair against something or it'll take off everytime the train jolts.

I've never tried a Triumph. I think that, like the Volo, they have a shoulder strap so you can sling it across you back and leave both hands free.
