hi, we've had our maclaren techno xt 4.5 years and it is still fine, except that the brakes no longer work...

the bit that the brake slots into on the wheel is now loose, so there is nothing to stop the wheel working, even when the brake is on. i fancy that some superglue could fix it, but i'm a bit scared it might be harder than i think and i might stick myself to the pushchair...

do you have any experience of repairing such a thing? can you help me?

Why not get a new set of rear wheels, as it sounds as if it's those at fault rather than the brakes. Should be about £30. Probably worth it as the rear wheels take all the weight and so wear out quicker.

The superglue option doesn't sound safe to me.

this might sound like a stupid question, but where do i get new wheels from? i looked on the maclaren website and there was not much talk of spares...

also, have you ever actually replaced wheels, they look like they come off, but do they?

I would give maclaren a ring - the number should be on their website. I though all maclaren products had their "sovreign lifetime guarantee" (whatever that means!).

Google maclaren buggy wheels, which is what I did. There are some wheels on ebay, and there is an shop on ebay who sell them. They are a real shop I think, as they are based in London and can fit them for you. Have a browse.
