ooohh, there was a link on here somewhere comparing it with the baby jogger city select...um but im no good at links, maybe someone better will come along...
i think the down points of the pear were that the backseat doesnt sit upright enough, not much leg room either, and there arent as many seat positions as the bjcs...i considered both of these, but i just bought a p&t vibe in the end...

i think that was comparing the peach bloosom and baby jogger.

I have one for my twins and LOVE it. Not sure what it is like for a newborn and older child though, except to say I wouldn't bother with a carrycot. My babies are only 10lb and have already outgrown them.

dh just said 'get a cheaper buggy'

i pointed out that even a graco is expensive these days.

am torn between second hand, or buying new with warrenty

hmm interesting about 10lbers outgrowing carrying carrycots early. dd2 + 4 were 9lb-ers. and dd3 wa sinduced early and 7lb 13. so mmmmm

local baby shop offering a package deal of, pear chassis, 2 seats, pip converter, 1 carrycot, and 1 set of car seat adapters, raincovers for £650 whioch is but am not sure.

I bought mine second hand with 2 carrycots, seats, 2 sets of carseat adapters, 2 cosytoes, and 2 parasols, for £350.
Downsides are it is heavy and all has to come apart to collapse it.
But I get stopped every where I go with people saying what a great pram it is and tbh I'd probably hardly go out if I didn't it. I started off using a MB urban twin, which is gorgeous, but a total pita putting in and out of the car, and being able to clip a carseat on is a must - I didn't think it was until I couldn't do it.

Neither does mine. I have to take the carrycot off, collapse it and carry it all in seperately. Add that to the two babies, bags, school stuff etc. it was just such a faf I haven't used the MB more than half a dozen times.

i had the pear and the carrycots are small and my twins were tiny but still outgrew them at 4 months. its a pain to have to take to bits to fold BUT i had mine in my ford galaxy boot in one bit. it was a lifesaver when my twins were newborn as i had two maxi-cosi seats and was in and out of hospital but i sold it before they were one as it was getting squashed and i didnt like the seating setup when they faced out.

i now have the baby jogger city select, its SOOOO MUCH better, it folds in one bit, is much smoother to push, they quality is much better and the seats can face anyway, the basket is MASSIVE and the hoods are really great. the carrycots are much bigger as well, its better off-road and the forever airtyres feel like real airtyres. the seats are much bigger than the pear and you can have fantastic snacktrays which are a lifesaver with my snacking monsters. there is a great deal from a seller on e-bay for new ones at the moment and i think bambino? has them £100 cheaper than most other shops i think £470ish for the select and extra seat, i preordered mine so i had one of the first in and paid £100 more than that but it has been worth it.

the zoom looks like a very long wheelbase though, although looks good.

i think groooveystyle stock the city select so will have to pop up there and have a play if st albans baby shop doesnt stock it.
