Is it possible to get gloss/eggshell paint out of a t-shirt?

DH decided it would be a good idea to start staining the new stairs. While I was putting eggshell on a door, right next to him Clearly it was still wet after only say 20 mins and he promptly walked past it and rubbed the back of his shirt against it.

Just so happens he had not change his shirt and is wearing one of his favourite, and new shirts. I personally am more annoyed that he has smudged my handiwork but he is annoyed.

Any chance we can get it out with something like white spirit without ruining the t-shirt? Its a blue one so would it get bleached?

Is it definitely not water soluble? The eggshell paint I used for my doors is water soluble. Otherwise white spirit should get it out (put piece of kitchen paper underneath tshirt and then dab, don't rub another piece on top - may need several goes). Won't bleach it. When stain is gone, rinse in warm water with mild detergent

Oh thank you. No, it definitely is not water soluble as far as I can tell . But I shall try with white spirit. I guess, if it does not work its ruined anyway! Thanks!
