You just need to tighten the screws underneath.

There should be a screw underneath - It happened to me once and I had no idea how to fix it until DH just reached underneath and tightened it

Ahh, the problem is that you have a 'top fixing' toilet seat. Panic not as they are very common and available theses days. Beware the fact that toilet seats come in many different widths and length, measure well before you buyGrin

We have a wobbly one of these too. I'd love to know how to fix it! Toilet seats are the absolute bane of my life.

I think it looks like the whole seat might lift off from the silver bolts - we have one a bit similar. There might be a button along the back edge in the middle. Lift the lid and seat, push that button and lift the whole thing off. You then may be able to lift off the flat round silver cover things and access the bolts to tighten them.

It's not just wobbly - it literally slides from one side to the other Hmm

Bluntness100 - there are no screws/bolts to unscrew/tighten. If it were the "usual" toilet seat, I'd know how to do it.
Stillnoidea - thank you! I'll give it a go! Grin

Let Me know how you get on! Lift the lid and seat so they are vertical and lift off vertically.

turned out the bolts were from plastic. we dh replaced those with metal bolts.
no more slidy seat.

Even with this type of seat there will be screws from the metal bits into the ceramic toilet. Have you looked underneath at the back?

If you can't fix it just buy an 'easy fit' one from Amazon.

You tube is your friend for this. Type in fitting top fix toilet seat and see how to get at the bolts to tighten them.

Don't get too excited, it will loosen again in days or weeks. I have the same type of toilet and it is the bane of my life. We tighten it and it comes loose again, literally rocking from side to side Sad

Thread lock is goo in a tube which makes screwuppable things not loosen. This may help. www.loctite.co.uk/threadlocking-9150.htm
