looking to buy a 'sunken low profile' gas hob...anyboday got one they can recommend?

We are relocating our kitchen which means starting from scratch.
I like the look of the 'sunken' gas hobs often shown in magazines. Has anybody put one into their kitchen? Will probably have quartz worktops.

Miele does one.

Also an Italian company does a totally flush version (can't remember the name!).

We didn't find any others from reputable companies apart from the two above.

you're right not many companies seem to make them. Was thinking Miele for cooker so thanks for that heads up.

There are restrictions on worktop, so have a look at the online manual (or consult kitchen designer if you have the ability to sue them...) to check quartz is permitted. I think because the heat is close to the worktop?

I am trying to make the gas v induction decision...but am struggling with it (confused)

I switched from gas to induction 6 years ago and do not miss gas at all

Most chefs have gas at home (unscientific!). Take from that what you will.

I am clumsy and do lots of slamming onto the hob. An induction would be scratched in no time in my house.

my hob takes an absolute pasting and as the surface is toughened glass it has no scratches
