My current insurance is up for renewal and it seems quite high.
If you've got a good one I'd love to know. Thanks.

I got a really good deal this time round, half of what I paid last year - I'll check it and come back to you

Go on one of the price comparison sites. I got mine via Money Supermarket I think. Saved quite a bit.

make sure you have malicious damage cover, and rent guarantee/legal cover that will pay out whatever the reason for eviction and whether or not there are arrears.

if you get a wrong 'un, you have to wait months for the eviction process, during which time there may be no rent and your property can be reduced to a revolting state. And you can do NOTHING while that happens.

I use Simply Business, who are a broker for landlord insurance. Good prices and they're happy to talk options over the phone.

I used a really good broker, got me 270pa vs 800ish on the high St (some issues with the flat hence so high)

I'll pm you the broker details if you like, really professional but also really friendly
