Please could you lovely people give me some ideas on how we could use this space. I really do lack vision and no doubt would forever be moving things around! We are a family of four (husband, 2 little boys (5yo and 1yo) and myself). Please ignore current descriptions.....taken straight from floor plan 😀

TIA

Block up those doors between lounge and dining room. Lovely separate grown up room/snug

Remove the wall between dining room and kitchen. Have big open plan kitchen/diner/family room.

If you don't want to remove any walls, I would use the games entertainment area for a big kitchen table, use the sun room part as a play room, and use the dining room bit for a desk/office space.

Block up doors from dining to lounge to make lounge seperate

Take down dining area wall if possible

Turn garage into large seperate playroom/ kids study.

That way you have a large communa area for you all to eat, cook, sit in during the day. But a play room for keep the mess in ie train track left up, and lounge for anyone who wants to read quietly or watch film.

I'd also want to take down the wall between the kitchen and dining room but you'd be left with a lot of doors and not much wall space. You could block up the double doors into the lounge (and have access from the hall) then have an L shaped kitchen across that wall and towards conservatory. I'd have an island too. Is the conservatory warm enough to have opened up to the house? If it was me I'd want to squeeze an office in too, possibly by making the utility slightly bigger and putting a desk in there, then carving a new (bigger) utility room out of the garage

Oh and from what I mentioned, I would then move kitchen into dining area in an L shaped ( as the lounge doors gone). Table where kitchen currently is. Then seating area in both sun room and games area

Yes to taking down wall between kitchen and dining room, and building wall between lounge and dining room (in place of doors).

I'd also be tempted to put a pocket door / doors in a wall between the kitchen space and the games room (kind of in line with the right hand side of the utility room) to make that a toy / kids room. It can be open in the day to make one big open space for the family to enjoy but can be closed off at night so that your lovely big kitchen diner isn't spoiled by toys all over the place!

Is this in USA ? ( U.K. Drawings tend to have a metric sizing option too) as if it is - are you in a hot sunny part or a colder part ? ie do you want to avoid the sun or enjoy it ?
As makes a difference to how you could use the space !
