PigletJohn - Ideal Logic or Worcester Bosch?

We need to replace our conventional boiler before this winter (very soon) and have received a quote which we are very happy with. It includes a power flush and that filter thingy you recommend and that I can't remember the name of after a couple glasses of wine on a Saturday evening!

We just need to decide between W/B and Ideal - our plumber has suggested that Ideal have massively upped their game in recent years compared to W/B (who he thinks have rested on their laurels) - having read a lot of your previous advice I have always thought a W/B would be an obvious choice.
However, based on what our plumber has just told us I thought it would be worth checking your latest opinion.

Ideal Logic + 30 (conventional) vs W/B 30 (conventional)

Thanks muchly!

I'm not piglet but I am a gas engineer and would choose Worcester. Not because ideal arnt good - they are, your engineer is right they've come on leaps and bounds- if you can't afford a Worcester they may be your number one choice ( though I do like a valiant) , but rather because Worcester offer longer warantee, they freely provide customer support and service and work to maintain their reputation.

If I may slightly hijack, was about to start a thread asking Worcester Bosch or valiant? Trying to decide between two building quotes and each builder is very definitive that their choice of boiler is best.
