Amazing property but am properly spooked by photo 19.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours Tue 16-Aug-16 19:41:28

And the weird statue in picture 9.

confused

WhatTheActualFugg Tue 16-Aug-16 19:42:01

OMG I'm actually going to look. Whist sitting in the dark.

My sensible side is telling myself not to. But I'm going too anyway.

Eeeeeeeeekkkkk!!!!

Here goes... shock

Babymamamama Tue 16-Aug-16 19:45:01

I've walked past this building many times and admired its Dickensian spookiness. The inside looks amazing. The whole of Stepney Green has a kind of other worldly feel about it. Love it.

Paintedhandprints Tue 16-Aug-16 19:45:43

'Sympathetically restored'???confused

WhatTheActualFugg Tue 16-Aug-16 19:46:28

What the actual fuck?!!

Is this some kind of sick joke?

Did the estate agents not notice?

Is it a clever PR excercise?

Because the Daily Fail are going to be all over this like a fly on shit.

And anyway, Stepney Green? Mansion? Surely it's a workhouse?

PinkSquash Tue 16-Aug-16 19:47:09

That hallway would terrify me when drunk confused

DearMrDilkington Tue 16-Aug-16 19:48:26

That's the creepiest house I've seen on rightmove! What's up with all the animal heads near the stairsshock.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter Tue 16-Aug-16 19:48:27

That's amazing. I love it but no way would I live there.

That is weird.

YellowShockedFace Tue 16-Aug-16 19:49:13

I love it and would buy it. Even with the ghost blush

Why is only that photo in black and white? confused I think it's a marketing thing.

kelper Tue 16-Aug-16 19:50:46

All those statues and heads of animals, how the hell do you walk down the stairs without getting speared?!
But it looks absolutely beautiful outside, just the inside thats a bit odd (Plus the random black and white shot of the "ghost")

ExcuseMyEyebrows Tue 16-Aug-16 19:51:54

Wow, that is an amazing house.

I don't think I'd be brave enough to view it never mind live in it.

Luciferbox Tue 16-Aug-16 19:53:09

I have never seen anything like it. It's like a movie set.

ThroughThickAndThin01 Tue 16-Aug-16 19:54:02

Is it a museum being sold off? That's a bit sad.

bestbefore Tue 16-Aug-16 19:55:35

And the poor stuffed dogs in no.5

ThroughThickAndThin01 Tue 16-Aug-16 19:55:54

Picture 19 shock

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion Tue 16-Aug-16 19:55:55

Holy shit!

What the fuck with portraits in the bathroom???

SilverMachine Tue 16-Aug-16 19:56:54

I love it!!

DixieNormas Tue 16-Aug-16 19:57:23

I love it!

ExcuseMyEyebrows Tue 16-Aug-16 19:57:45

If it wasn't for all the crosses in one of the bathrooms I'd guess it was inhabited by a family of vampires. I'd love to know who lives there.

WhatchaMaCalllit Tue 16-Aug-16 19:58:04

I'd need a good few skips to get rid of all the antlers, animal heads (not sure what the correct description for them actually is) and anything else the previous owners think covers the "carefully restored" bit of the property. The walls need fixing/painting/new wallpaper and the floors need to be sorted out too.

There is a very phallic plant in one of the earlier pictures (not in the immediate foreground) but I'd have to replant things in the greenhouse too so the National Botanic Gardens (or someone else) would be getting a phone call if I was able to afford it...but unless I won the Lottery, that is a long way off. smile

TheRollingCrone Tue 16-Aug-16 19:59:04

Wow that is beautiful. Is it for the whole big frontage? Is that the whole house? It's very cheap for London ain't it?

WhatchaMaCalllit Tue 16-Aug-16 20:01:29

Think I'd prefer this one though:

(Disclaimer - I don't know the area but the house looks lovely)
