Average cost of a landlord's gas certificate in Derbyshire

Hello everyone

My DP has decided to take the plunge and move in with me. We are going to rent out her flat which she owns without a mortgage, and hopefully get a bit of income.

I need to get a safety certificate for the (1 year old) gas boiler. I also need the pipe that the cooker was connected to capped off - we're fitting a new kitchen which is all electric.

I'm going to phone around and get quotes, but what's the average cost of doing this sort of job, please?

Oh, and any recommendations for gas safe engineers local to Chesterfield would be appreciated.

Not Derbyshire - bit further south - £40 for a gas safety cert.

£40-£60

Can I suggest as a new landlord you join the NLA. There is loads of advice, a free legal advice helpline, forms, and recommended suppliers (included nationwide gas safety suppliers).

I know you didnt ask, but personally I woudnt install a new kitchen.
