Poncetastic nirvana - Annie Sloan wax on top of F&B paint?!

I got a crapola IKEA set of drawers for dd's room (£14! It rattles if you blow on it!) and plan to paint it, stencil it, add new handles. I mixed up all my remaining F&B tester pots (turned out a pleasant duck egg) and it's now painted. But of course it's just the classic F&B emulsion, which is pretty chalky and not very robust.

I also have half a pot of Annie Sloan wax, and I'm tempted to rub this on to make it a bit more durable and add a little sheen. If there's any chalk paint experts out there (and I know there are) - do you think this would work?

It'll be ok
I have done this on top of emulsion
It's quite durable but if you want it more so I'd use polyvine Matt decorators varnish
