Tall internal doors - how tall ?

We want to put in floor to ceiling doors with glass panels to separate one room for another. Doors appear to come in two heights 1981mm or 2040mm. The room is 2400mm tall. Do I just need to accept we'll have to put an extra bit of wall above ?

I don't think you'll find a 8' door off the shelf, but if you look for a local joinery company, I'm sure they could make you one, as well as a matching frame or liner. Or you could have a glass transom above.

Ask how they will construct it to avoid twisting or warping.

Each leaf should have four hinges, and you will need safety glass. They will be heavy.

Thanks PJ - I think you're right. Back to the joiners !
