so many house repairs - where to start?

My DH has had period of working abroad extended (again!) and this will now be 2 years away. Much as I miss him, jobs that need doing in the house are mounting up and overwhelming me - all different trades (leaking shower, problems with electrical fittings, desperately need new kitchen) but am finding it so difficult to find anyone reliable and really dont know where to start. Can anyone offer any support?

Look for renovation companies that will oversee everything. I did this and just handed over a very long list of niggles and works and they did them all by organising the specialist trades in.
