Will we start to see an increase of property on the market after April?

Hi all,

We've accepted an offer on our house as we have missed out on a few houses as we have not been in a good position. However, since we have accepted an offer on our house (last week so not very long ago) there is absolutely nothing on the market anymore. Is there a surge in market activity after Easter? I'm starting to feel panicky (excited too!)

Where are you? A lot more houses have come on the market in the past few weeks here in the NW.

I think there are some issues in different areas. Here there is a huge shortage of houses in the 350-500K bracket and an over supply in the 500K bracket.

We are just north of London. Things were coming on the market and being sold within days. I am feeling anxious as we have now accepted an offer. Our buyer knows what position we are in and is willing to wait luckily. I hope things start coming on to the market soon.

You need to be on the phone to all the local EA. tell them you have SSTC and that they should call you asap something becomes available. that is why they are gone in days. Once listed on Rightmove it is too late.

You are in a great position now. Your buyer is in the same boat - so will wait.

if youre in a fast selling market, then if it has time to hit rightmove its probably already sold. Estate Agent has known about it for a week. So ring every few days and ask them what theyve got coming on their books.
