Hi I have a back boiler that has been fine the 5 years I've been here. Whenever I turn the heating on you can hear the boiler fire up, radiators get hot until I turn the heating off.
However the last couple of days whenever I turn the heating on. I hear the firing up and the radiators get hot, after an hour or so I hear the boiler fire up again, then ten minutes later the same thing. And it carried on. While this is happening most of my radiators are cooling down to the point that it's useless to have them on.
I watched the flame to see what happens, it had fired up and stayed like that for 3-4 minutes then turned off to just the pilot light then after a minute or so it flames back up to the big flame then a few mins later back to the pilot light.
So the pilot light stays on it just doesn't stay fired up.
I use the radiators for drying clothes and my tumble dryer recently broke and having to wrap my son up in blankets so any quick advice would be appreciated. Thanks
