Old paint on upvc window frames

Just turned my spare bedroom into a shiney new office and it looks lovely, except the window frames have old, blue emulsion paint on them which looks hideous against my new white walls. Is there a way of getting it off without damaging the frames? Or should I just fit a blind and hide it?

meths softens emulsion paint, faster than water does.

Mix it with WUL in an eggcup so it is thickened and does nor run straight off, apply thickly with a small soft brush, cover with cling film to slow evaporation.

Give it more coats as you remember during the day to keep it moist (if it dries out it will harden again)

After a few hours, rub it off with a coarse cotton rag, preferably moistened with more meths.

It is possible to clean it off with a scourer, but this will scratch the PVC.

Thank you :) I will try that tomorrow as I have some meths. It never bothered me when it was a spare junk room, but now it's all new and white and lovely, it's bugging the life out of me!
