Bathroom tiling - walls and floor the same?

We are planning our new bathroom. It is a small space, approx 2m x 2m. Planning on tiling the floor and about two thirds of the walls (rest will be painted). I think we would be best off using the same very pale grey tiles for the walls and the floor as it will make the room look bigger. Other option would be to use similar tiles from same range but slightly different colours.
DH not totally convinced and thinks it might look a bit bland. Any advice?

We originally bought enough to do walks and floor the same but soon realised it looked really odd in our space. We went for different in the end - grey streaked on the walls and a plain pale grey on the floor - so similar but different. We're v pleased with the end result.

Thanks, that sounds not dissimilar to the tiles we are considering as well.

My friend actually spotted the same tiles we have on our walls with similar to our floor tiles in a house magazine a while ago. We're not remotely on trend normally! GrinGrinBut it clearly is an acceptable thing to do!

I have the same tiles on floor and walls in the bathroom we did 6 years ago, but if I could re do it now I'd choose the same colour but a different shape to modernise it a bit, I'd like white subway tiles and white carrara hexagonal tiles for the floor.
