So much water in the bathroom!

We moved last week. So far, I love our new house. But...

The bath and shower have clearly been installed the wrong way round. By this I mean that the window is off-centre and the shower over the bath is at the side where the wall is narrow rather than the wider bit iyswim.

This mean when you have a shower, the window blind ends up completely soaked (bathroom at front of house so definitely want blind down!). We replaced the existing blind, as it was quite mouldy, and have fitted the new (moisture resistant) Ine inside the window frame rather than on the outside. The blind still gets soaked and now the window sill floods. As the sill slopes ever so slightly towards the window rather than draining into the bath it means we're having to sweep lots of water off the windowsill after every shower as we obviously wouldn't want it seeping into any small cracks etc.

Is there anything anyone can suggest to improve this short of refitting the bathroom and getting the shower put at the wider wall end?!

Would some of that frosted stick on glass film work?is quite cheap if you cut it to fit yourself.

Thanks for replying. The glass is already frosted, but as at the moment, we are showering early in the morning and it's dark outside, that still puts on quite a show for the neighbours!

What about putting up one of those springy type curtain poles with a shower curtain, that can be pulled across the window whilst you shower. Could be pulled back out of the way once dry. May not be the most attractive solution, but would definitely stop water getting on the blind/sill/window.

Could you hang a towel over the blind? At least this may be easier to dry throughly perhaps?

That's a good idea Kosakova, thanks.

Get a shower curtain and run it across the window.

Thanks Someday, that might be a good fix until I can find a springy curtain pole!

Thanks PigletJohn
