A really stupid question about Howdens kitchens

Please forgive the utter stupidity here, but I can't speak to the builder atm and I'm dying to know.

We've just got the Howdens quote through, and I'm not sure that I understand it - for each item, it's got the builder's discount as a % then the net price - is this the price before or after the discount?

I swear I'm a smart, practical woman in real life (who's probably just in denial about quite how expensive this quote is!)

Net is after builder's discount is deducted from gross surely

We've just paid for our Howden's kitchen, it should be being fitted next week. The price on the quote is the price after the discount, so the total is what you'll end up paying.

Make sure you go through the quote with a fine toothcomb and check the units/appliances/everything with what's in the brochure and make sure you actually want them!

Our designer had added in loads of upgrades to the units that we hadn't asked for and didn't need - but made the quote much more expensive. The quote has ended up being over £2000 cheaper after we went through it and got it changed.

Thanks both, was banging my head against the wall to understand why the quote was more than three times the price of the ikea one - even though we chose the expensive doors etc in ikea. Off to chop out all the additional bits we don't need, have already found 2!

I was just wondering how it went with your quote? Our kitchen is now all installed and I'm just waiting for the plumber to come back and put the washing machine in. I'm glad we went with Howdens as it looks great and we've actually ended up with some free cupboard space...not too sure how that happened!
