Where should I put new sofas?!

Need to get sofas ordered so they'll arrive before Christmas. Have put pics from the sale brochure below so you can see the layout (it doesn't look like that now!) Need as much seating as possible but can't decide what I can put where? I need to fit in a tv in somewhere too Confused

Maximum seating is going to be 3 sofas around fireplace and tv above mantelpiece.

You don't have many options on a room that shape/ size.

It's a decent sized room. One sofa where the one in the photo is, another at right angles to it opposite the windows. TV in alcove between windows and fireplace. Stick a couple of chairs in the window area/on either end of a sofa as needed. Personally not a fan of flat screen TVs above fireplaces.

When our front room had that design, we had one sofa (as long as you can fit across the wall) against the wall adjoining the dining room, and one against the hall. TV as in pic.

You could get a chair in front of the windows, or a window seat (long, low padded bench) installed. I wouldn't put a sofa there, the windows seem to come down very low.

Thankyou - two sofas and a chair - sorted! Mumsnet to the rescue as usual!

Your room is the same shape and layout as out sitting room we have two sofas and a chair. We even have feature red chimney breast too. We have one sofa and the chair pretty much where they are in the picture and the second sofa on the right facing the window. The TV is on a unit to the left of the fireplace. I don't like TVs hung above fireplaces. We also have a rug and coffee table in the middle of the room plus a couple of side tables.
