Have Bose speakers in house, no idea how to set it up for music...

We bought a house and it has built in speakers in several ceilings, all Bose. Problem is we have no idea how to set up the system...not sure where to start. I know there is one socket with cable ends in a bedroom that the previous owner said is linked to the sound system...but they told us nothing else as the house purchase was very acrimonious in the end. So going back to ask them is not an option. Any idea where we should start please, or will I need to get an engineer or something? Thanks!
