We've just bought our first home and were having a new boiler installed next week, I'm not 100% sure on the model number etc I just know its a Valiant Combi.
The boiler that was in the house is about 30 years old and is in the kitchen, there was a water tank upstairs in the smaller bedroom, now my mother knows the plumber as its her friends husband so she's sorted this all out which I am very grateful for however we've just had a huge row because apparently this new boiler cannot go in the kitchen and will have to be installed in the smaller bedroom which was going to be my 2yo ds room because the flue has to have a space of 8ft. it still hasn't in the smaller room but it will be higher up.
Now I am no plumbing expert so I've searched the internet and cannot find one mention of this 'rule' and I do not want a boiler installed in my 2yo's room so we've had a huge row and I'm very tempted to get another plumber in to look but she would never speak to me again, can anyone tell me if this is true or not.
