We're in the same position so have arranged to have half of the rooms fitted on one day, then the rest a few days later. We'll move all the furniture from one room to another in between the fittings. The company don't charge any extra for this. Could you try the same, or have someone with you that day to help move furniture? Our fitters won't shift furniture, but some may for a fee.

Hi pragmatic, I'm just waiting for them now so too late to make any other arrangements. They say they do move furniture but it just seemed like a big request and i wanted to speed up the process. I've moved a lot to the garage and shed, and thankfully it's out sunny so I've put some on the back patio. The bathrooms and kitchen are also attached up. There are big things though that just couldn't be moved by little old me, beds, sofas, a bookcase, that I'm hoping they willk do. Eek they're here!

I'm waiting for carpet fitters at the moment. Isn't it a pain in the arse! The fitters are going to have to help me move my mattress and a chest of drawers. I physically can't do it on my own.

I hope they are nice..

With the next half an hour or so. We're having hall stairs and landing so not as much upheaval as yours but we live in a tiny house and there's physically nowhere for me to move anything to!

It's hard isn't it! ? I'm a little stressed and wishing it was evening already so i could have a glass of wine! I think however much it is it is unsettling. You have to pack up almost as much as if you are moving. I hope your guys are nice. Mine are pleasant. A bit no nonsense but that's fine!

Yeah it sucks! My husband has persuaded me to have stripy carpet on the stairs too so I'm worrying about what that is going to look like.

Glass of wine sounds fantastic Wine Biscuit

I bet your stripey carpet will look great! I wish we'd gone for something exciting like that. We have a neutral carpet going everywhere. Have your guys arrived? Are they nice?

They've been and gone and they were lovely. They were only here for an hour and a half!

The stripy carpet does look fantastic. Far better than I imagined tbh. How's yours going?

I just logged in to see how you got on, fantastic report methe! We are only half way done but they've done the living room so I'm on the sofa with that glass of wine!
