Has anyone had a period of intentionally having no fixed abode? Or have you only had a PO Box for a while? Looking for logistics and problem solving please

Hi, for various reasons to do with our specific circumstances we are looking into selling our home, then having a period of moving about rather than going straight into a rental contract. We're talking maybe a couple of months before we're ready to rent. We would have a PO Box and redirect to that.

So, not really asking if its the right thing to do cause it's right for various reasons for our circumstances, we wont be able to rent straight away we just looking for experiences of the logistics. For example how does the DVLA respond to you giving a PO Box rather than an address? what about car insurance? that sort of thing
