Where do you get well designed but not £££ kids furniture from?

Need to buy new bunk / cabin beds or similar for DS's and hate absolutely everything on high street that have found thus far. Feather and black/ gltc offer seems dull and John Lewis has nothing I like either.

Would love to afford bobo kids, rafa kids type vibe but it's too expensive. A-space not bad but still a bit toppy when you x 2, add mattresses, sleepover trundles, underbed storage etc. If left to me I'd convince myself was making an investment and just do it anyway but think DH will go nuts and insist on something cheaper.

Are there any secret, affordable & cool kids design brands? Or even any makers anyone knows on etsy or similar??

Thanks!

what about seeing if a local joiner can make you something similar to the designs you like?

good quality kids furniture usually is still in good nick after the children have grown out if it - so I'd suggest looking on preloved, free cycle , eBay etc etc ! you could find a bargain !!!

We got ours from rainbow-wood, it is fantastic, but not sure of your budget.

Habitat used to have some nice stuff. Not sure how prices compare to aspace etc

I agree, those 2 companies you listed are lovely, if expensive. Certainly the 2nd one could easily be copied by a good joiner at a fraction of the price.

I also agree that the 2nd hand market for the frames is very good because the quality of these items often outlasts their usefulness for one particular child. We are in the process of getting a high sleeper from our DS - I am buying a basic frame from ebay / preloved and getting our carpenter to customise it to suit DS and the space we have.

There's tons of "good" midsleepers on ebay. Weve loooked!

Not ikea if you want built to last. It is cheap but can't handle being taken apart and put back together really so if you move house etc not the best.
